I want to express my thanks to Nathalie Caycedo, CEO of Ser-Kallai, and her team, for their work in the Learning Well Children Club at LWCC. The program worked with Syrian children and refugee families, providing them with virtues, and valued education. Our agency was fortunate enough to host SER-KALLAI for a day-long Turadh workshop with 18 of our teen clients. What a wonderful experience that our youth enjoyed and talked highly of in the days that followed! Our clients come from diverse backgrounds, yet Nathalie and Emerson were able to connect with our group so well. Through their leadership, youth were able to identify and recognize different emotions that they experience and learned how to feel empowered and in control of their emotions despite difficult circumstances that may arise.


We strongly believe that this workshop aided the youth in being able to communicate their feelings both amongst themselves and with our staff. We are hopeful that our clients can use this newfound knowledge from the SER-KALLAI team to navigate challenges that they may face and make good decisions to overcome those obstacles. We are grateful for SER-KALLAI and look forward to working with them in the future to provide more young people with this opportunity.
